Interest groups that stand on Affirmative Action!

There are many kinds of affirmative action groups that affect different kinds of minorities.
ACLU- American Civil Liberties Union
"To defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States."

LULAC-League of United Latin American Citizens
"Facilitated a solidarity movement among fragmented Hispanic groups, created an environment of unity among Hispanic organizations, business, churches, and community leaders that did not exist before"

NAAP-National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
"Provides opportunities for professional development and personal growth through national and regional conferences that offer a variety of topics and numerous hours of education."

CAIR-Council on American-Islamic Relations
"CAIR is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). It holds itself out as a civil rights group."

NOW- National Organization of Women
"Despite the enormous gains made by the civil rights and women's rights movements, women and people of color still face unfair obstacles in business and education. An astonishing 70% of schools are not in compliance with Title IX, the federal equal education opportunity law..."

Democrats and Republicans on Affirmative Action!

Both Democrats and Republicans have differences between affirmative action. However Democrates support affirmative action more than republicans. Democratics are supporting diversity, and supporting opportunities for women and minorities. The Republican Party, believe that everyone should work for their own rights and how they become successful. Obama supports affirmative action, like he said in his speech,
"I support affirmative action. When there is strong evidence of prolonged and systemic discrimination by organizations, affirmative action may be the only meaningful remedy available. Given the dearth of black and Latino Ph.D. candidates in mathematics and the sciences, for example, a scholarship program for minorities interested in getting advanced degrees in these fields won't keep white students out of such programs, but can broaden the pool of talent that we need to prosper in the new economy. We shouldn't ignore that race continues to matter: To suggest that our racial attitudes play no part in the socio-economic disparities that we often observe turns a blind eye to both our history and our experience - and relieves us of the responsibility to make things right."

The statistics regaurding affirmative action!

Statistics show that every effort should be made to improve the position of minorities, even if they are giving "preferential treatment". A majority of 31 % of Democrats and Democratic leaning's agree on blacks and other minorities getting preferential treatment, while 65% are disagree. The Republics and Republican leaner's agree on a majority of 16% agree on blacks and minorities getting preferential treatment, white 85% disagree. This shows that White democrats agree more than White republicans to get preferential treatment. For disagreeing, White's have more votes on it. However from both sides of Democrates and Republics, the minorities agree to have preferential treatment.

Department to Justice use of training materials on counterrorism

How do local police forces and FBI offices find material and instructors for training?
The FBI and police forces have a lot of training opportunities. They have a FBI National Academy which provides college-level training to mid-level state international police officers. The FBI's Field Police Training Program, qualified Bureau police instructors that provide training assistance at local and state law enforcement training faculties to improve their skills. The trainings that they give strengthens the cooperative effort between the FBI and agencies protecting the public.

Who benefits Affirmative Action the most? And who suffers the most?

Affirmative action benefits a whole society, not only women and minorities. White men have much more oppurtunity than woman and minorities. For example, white men get paid more than women. Every dollar than a man makes, a woman makes 0.70 cents. Researching, many websites say that white men hurt the most, this makes sense, but at the same time they have the most power. I belive that white woman hurt the most because people treat woman differently, as an example of jobs.
